The clouds are building around here again
And I think it could be a chance for some rain
I think it might make a nice change
Cause it's been hot and dry here for so long
Yeah it's been hot and dry here for so long
That deafening sound of summer has returned
And the molasses smell as the sugar cane burns
The thrill and the fear of a heavy downpour
And getting stuck on the highway in the middle of jack all
And getting stuck on the highway in the middle of jack all
Getting drunk and waking up with a lobstered skin
From the gap in the curtain where the sun scorched in
Making love in a pool of sweat at 2am
And hearing radio songs about Christmas and snow
We're singing songs about places we will never know
We're singing songs about places we will never go

Thanks for this project! My ancestor, Duncan Blue, immigrated from Jura to America in the 1700s before the Revolutionary War. I've never seen any kind of documentation about this place until now. We've got the album in rotation.... Radio Free Americana

Came to London from Kentucky and scored this vinyl record at, “All Ages Records” in Camden Town. Loved it instantly, only to discover later that Dick Lucas....of the Subhumans formed this band.
No wonder I fell in love with it. Subhumans and Culture Shock ROCK!
