A Towson epic, exploring themes of love and solidarity. This song dances beautifully and excitedly from the first guitar-driven riffs to the interwoven sounds of raw contemporary and classical instruments at its climax.
lyrics
We Will Rise
A midnight romance tragedy
he loves her but she can't love him
it all falls down to cause and effect
as he wipes her name off his chest
well it all began some other place
with the introduction of their names
they couldn't believe what was happening
or how they felt
(Chorus)
but when the pain rises
we must not fill with shame
for together through unity
we will rise
well he asks himself the questions again
was it circumstance or man
that leads us here to the same situation
again
and again
again and
again
(Chorus)
beneath the sword of Damocles
they must conquer all of their fears
or jade eyes will be beaten to blue
and all will be lost
lost
(Chorus)

Thanks for this project! My ancestor, Duncan Blue, immigrated from Jura to America in the 1700s before the Revolutionary War. I've never seen any kind of documentation about this place until now. We've got the album in rotation.... Radio Free Americana

Came to London from Kentucky and scored this vinyl record at, “All Ages Records” in Camden Town. Loved it instantly, only to discover later that Dick Lucas....of the Subhumans formed this band.
No wonder I fell in love with it. Subhumans and Culture Shock ROCK!
